1,104 Arrested in Police Special Operation Across the Country Including the Capital

A total of 1,104 people have been arrested in a single day during the ongoing special operation by the police to maintain law and order in the capital Dhaka and various regions of the country. The operation was conducted in the last 24 hours, Thursday (May 29). During the operation, firearms, bullets, and locally made weapons were also recovered, confirmed the Police Headquarters.

On Friday (May 30), a press release from the Media Wing of the Police Headquarters stated that among the arrested individuals, 671 are warrant-listed accused in various cases and the remaining 433 were arrested on other charges.

Among the weapons recovered during the operation are one locally made revolver, two iron one-shooter guns, four rounds of bullets, one machete, four ramdas, and one sharp dao. These weapons and equipment were seized by the police and presented to the court through proper legal procedures.

The police stated that this special operation will continue with the aim of suppressing crime, maintaining peace and order, and ensuring public safety. Legal actions are being taken against the individuals arrested in the operation.

It has been stated that such operations are being conducted regularly in every district and division of the country as part of maintaining law and order and controlling crime. The police further stated that they are in a strict position to ensure public safety and that actions against criminals in every corner of the country will continue.
