The Elephant and the Fox

🐘đŸĻŠ Once, in a forest, the king was a mighty elephant. He was very strong but arrogant. He looked down upon small creatures and frightened them unnecessarily.

One day, the fox told the forest animals, “This elephant’s tyranny is unbearable! We must do something.”

Everyone was afraid, so no one said anything. The fox alone came up with a plan.

He went to the elephant and said, “Your Majesty, I’ve travelled through many forests. All the creatures have accepted you as their king. Now, to officially declare you king, you must be seated on the sacred throne. Come, I’ll take you there.”

The elephant happily said, “Let’s go, I’m ready!”

The fox led him to a low, muddy part of the jungle where the elephant’s feet sank. The elephant struggled. The fox, laughing, said, “This is the result of your arrogance! You thought so highly of yourself, now see how helpless you are.”

The elephant cried for help, but no one came to save him. His arrogance had left him alone.

Moral:

Arrogance one day leads to one’s downfall. And the weak should never be underestimated, for they too possess the power of intelligence.
