The Milkman’s Illusive Dream

At the edge of a quiet village lived a simple milkman. Every morning, he would milk his cow, pour it into a pot, place it on his head, and walk off toward the city market.

One fine morning, with a pot full of milk on his head, he set out as usual. The cool breeze blew gently, and birds chirped above—everything felt peaceful. As he walked, a thought crossed his mind.

“This milk will bring me a good amount of money,” he mused.

“With that, I’ll buy some duck eggs. Once they hatch, I’ll have ducklings. They’ll grow and start laying eggs. Selling those will bring me more profit.”

He smiled at the thought.

“Then I’ll buy a goat. It will give me milk and kids. Those will sell at a good price. Soon, I’ll have my own farm.”

Now his eyes sparkled with ambition.

“Everyone will be amazed by my success. And if anyone asks for help, I’ll turn my head proudly and walk away!”

Just thinking that, he arrogantly shook his head.

And then…

The pot wobbled—and in an instant, fell and shattered on the ground. The milk spilled into the dirt. The dream he had built with a pot of milk disappeared before his eyes.

He sat down in shock. With a sigh, he said,
“Dreams don’t build a future—better to watch where you’re walking first.”

🎓 Moral of the story:

There’s no harm in dreaming, but losing sight of reality can make those dreams spill like milk on the ground.
