“Dad, I want to eat human flesh!”
A young vulture suddenly said to his father.
The father vulture replied calmly, “Alright, I’ll bring you some after sunset.”
When evening came, the father flew off and returned with a piece of pork, placing it in the nest.
The chick looked at it and complained, “But this is pig meat! I said I want human flesh!”
The father smiled, “Okay, just wait a little longer.”
Later, he flew off again and this time returned with a piece of cow meat.
The chick was annoyed and said, “Wrong again! This is cow meat! Where is the human flesh?”
Understanding the situation, the father vulture took both pieces of meat and flew off again. He dropped one near a mosque and the other near a temple, then silently returned to the nest.
Within a short while, chaos erupted. Fueled by religious outrage, people clashed violently. The tension escalated so quickly that hundreds of people lost their lives.
Once the fighting stopped and silence returned, the father and his chick descended from the tree. Now, they began to feast on real human flesh.
The chick, astonished, asked, “Dad, where did all these dead humans come from?”
The father calmly replied, “Humans call themselves the most intelligent beings on Earth, but they’re the easiest to manipulate with religion or politics. They destroy themselves without us having to do a thing.”
The chick asked, “But why use religion? Couldn’t you just use politics?”
The father laughed, “Politics takes time. It burns slowly. But religion? That strikes the heart. One sprinkle, and it explodes! You wanted to eat today, didn’t you? That’s why I chose the quicker method.”
The chick replied, “You’re really clever, Dad!”
The father said with a sly smile, “Not really. I’ve just learned from humans. When they can’t destroy directly, they turn religion or politics into weapons.”
