Not Laziness, But Responsibility Shapes the Future!

In a remote village lived a hardworking farmer. Year after year, he cultivated wheat in his vast green field. Right in the middle of that field, on a stack of old hay, a mother sparrow had built a nest with her tiny chicks. That was their little safe world.

Every morning, the mother sparrow flew far away to search for food. Her chicks stayed back at home, waiting for her return. Sometimes, they overheard the voices of the people working below.

One day, when the mother returned, she found her chicks trembling with fear.

— “Why are you all so frightened?”
The chicks replied together,
— “Mom, today we heard the farmer say that he will bring his friends tomorrow to harvest the wheat. What should we do now?”

The mother sparrow smiled gently and said,
— “Don’t be afraid. Nothing will happen. He is only talking.”

The next day, the field remained empty. No one came, and the wheat stood untouched.

A few days passed. One day the mother came back and saw the chicks looking anxious again.
The chicks said,
— “Mom, today the farmer said he will ask the nearby villagers to help him cut the wheat!”
The mother sparrow smiled again and said,
— “Still, nothing will happen. Because he is still depending on others.”

More time passed, but no one came to harvest the wheat. It remained just as it was.

Then one day, when the mother sparrow returned, the nest felt unusually quiet.
One of the chicks looked down and said in a worried voice,
— “Mom, today the farmer said—‘No more delays! I’ll cut the wheat myself tomorrow morning. Too much time has been wasted!’”

The mother sparrow didn’t smile this time. After a moment of silence, she said,
— “Now it’s time for us to leave. Because now he’s taking responsibility into his own hands. When a person decides to act on their own, that’s when things truly happen.”

That very night, the mother sparrow flew away with her chicks in search of a new, safer home.

🔍 Moral of the Story:

When someone only talks but doesn’t take personal responsibility, nothing ever gets done.
But when someone finally decides to take matters into their own hands, that’s when real change happens.
