Once upon a time, a young woman entered her new married life. But from the very beginning, she could never get along with her mother-in-law.
They argued over the smallest things—there was no sign of peace in the household.
One day, she could no longer bear it and returned to her father’s home.
Her father, a well-known doctor, saw her crying and asked what had happened.
Through tears, she pleaded,
“Father, I can’t live like this anymore! My life feels like hell. Please give me something that will slowly make my mother-in-law go away.”
After a moment of thought, the father said,
“Alright dear, I’ll give you a medicine. Mix a small amount into her food every day. But be careful—she must not suspect anything. You must treat her with warmth and love so she never doubts you.”
Following her father’s words, the girl began adding the “medicine” to her mother-in-law’s meals.
At the same time, her behavior changed—she started speaking kindly, taking care of her, serving her meals with a smile.
At first, her mother-in-law was surprised. But slowly, she too began to change.
In her eyes, the daughter-in-law became as dear as her own daughter.
Months passed.
One day, the girl suddenly panicked—
“I’ve been feeding her poison all this time… what if she really dies?”
Worried and fearful, she rushed to her father and asked,
“Father, will she survive?”
With a serious face, the father replied,
“No dear, there’s nothing we can do now. The poison is already in her system.”
The girl broke down in tears.
She stopped eating, her face paled, her body grew weak.
The mother-in-law noticed her beloved daughter-in-law fading away.
She couldn’t hold back any longer.
She ran around arranging for her treatment.
The doctor (the girl’s father) said the treatment would cost a lot of money.
Crying, the mother-in-law said,
“I will sell my house, everything I own. If needed, I will sell my kidney. But I must save my daughter-in-law—she’s like my own child!”
Seeing all this, the father was moved to tears.
He couldn’t stay silent anymore.
One day, he said,
“You don’t need to worry. Your daughter-in-law is completely fine. I only wanted to see how deep love can go.”
The mother-in-law’s face lit up.
She embraced her daughter-in-law with joy.
Later, the father secretly told his daughter,
“My dear, the medicine I gave you wasn’t poison. It was completely harmless herbal water. I only wanted to witness the power of love.”
The girl cried tears of happiness.
From that day forward, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law became the closest of friends.
Their story of love spread far and wide.

Moral of the story:
Love and sincerity can heal even the most difficult relationships.
Not hatred or suspicion, but kindness and patience make life beautiful.
